James Ihedigbo has reportedly decided to end his hold out and join the Lions for their OTAs which started today. This is good for both him and the Lions. He had zero leverage as a 31 year old player on a one year deal and the Lions, frankly, need his leadership on the field. One has to wonder if he heard younger footsteps coming up from behind him?
Welcome back Diggs.
even given his age Diggs is one of the better defensive players that the Lions have. Teaming with Quin for a second season should only mean goods things from the safety position.
ReplyDeleteIs he going to wear down again like he did as the season waned last year?
Deletehappy to have him back, but hope he's happy to be back
ReplyDeleteHe is getting paid 1.5 million to play a kids game. I get it, he feels like he is worth more and he has a point but that is not how it works in today's NFL for 30 plus year old players.
DeleteThe rookie salary cap was supposed to funnel more money to Vets but instead it has made rookies so much more valuable, because they are so cheap, it looks like it has had the exact opposite effect.
Quddus will unseat him as starter by the end of the season.
ReplyDeleteIf Diggs has another last season drop off in performance like he did last year, you might end up being right.
