This just in... Ngata was suspended for four games last season due to PED usage

This is more of a tongue type of a post. but I am still blown away by Lion fans that brush this off as nothing and talk as if Ngata is just as good as Suh.

Dice it up anyway you want to, but Ngata was busted for using adderall. A drug most commonly associated with energy boosting effects.  I am talking about a 30 plus year old 340 plus pound defensive tackle having the best season of his career gets busted for adderall and people talk like it had no effect on his game,

I for one am very cautious of what a clean Ngata can actually bring to the Lions.  Outside of Ansah what are the Lions other options for creating pressure on the quarterback? I do not know... it just seems like the Lions took multiple steps backwards this past offseason and I am not seeing a successful season.  The schedule is looks to be very strong and the teams within the NFC North on paper look to be very formidable.

  1. I find it interesting that it's been dismissed by so many as a possible red flag. Plus he's also kind of described as a respected vet and team leader… the one thing I can think of from the NFL side is that FO's probably accept the usage is wide spread and maybe the real concern is that he got busted for it.

But also, if they don't release what he was busted for, how do we confirm it was actually adderall?

    1. That is my biggest concern billy. The NFL can't say what a player was busted for so player can just tell the media anything they want. Adderall has become the catch all. Everyone busted for PED use somehow all used adderall too. Amazing. Or not.

  2. I don't believe any players when they say they failed a test and Adderall was the reason. Just too easy a fall back for the player to save face.

But just think, we traded away a 4th and a 5th for him!!
