Tate being Tate and our coaches sucking

Per Detroit Sports 105.1 Golden Tate has had opposing defensive players call out Detroit's offensive plays in each of the three games the Lions have played so far. When Tate was asked about this Josh Katzenstein report in which Broncos CB Bradley Roby said about the Lions offense: "We pretty much knew what they were gonna do, and they did it."

Tate's response was....

It has all been said

Before I start, let me ask you, is this really a surprise? You are a Lions fan, does this really surprise you? Really?

Just read around. Everything that could be said about the Lions and their 0-3 season so far has been said. They are really not good right now. They look inept in all phases of the game. All of them. Let us have a quick look at each phase....

On offense it is really easy to sum it all up in one word. SHIT

The Lions biggest problem, not enough players that do this....

I think that is Ron Cherry, not exactly the best ref in the game but on this occasion, he nailed it. 69 giving him the business.

Crystal ball time: next 3 games?

What do you think our record will be after game 5?

I have them 0-5 unless a miracle happens. If you have another record, please tell us what game or games the Lions are going to win!!!

Pathetic

That says it all.

We should have cleaned out the entire FO when we fired Gym Shortz. Yet another, CJ, generational talent wasted by bad ownership, bad management and bad coaches.

Saint Barry deserved better and so did you Calvin.

Coach speak: your never as bad or as good as you look

Right?

back to back INTs for our keg stand QB. (one negated by an extremely weak DPI)

FUCK FUCK FUCK

A few observations from the middle of the 3rd. Lion cubs vs Vikes

1) LombarNOTi is horrible but we all knew that already.
2) Caldwell is not helping with his ultra conservative mentality.
3) Our defense SUCKS. You can't lose so much on your D line in one off season and expect to be competitive in the trench. We did, We aren't.
4) Running back by committee DOES NOT WORK.Pick your horse and ride him.
5) Austin is not the savior we had all hoped he was going to end up being.
6) The window for Stafford to be anything more than a mediocre at best NFL QB is closing EXTREMELY FAST. I fear, as I have for his entire career here, that we will be stuck with a frat boy QB until he is gone.
7) Matt works best in the hurry up. Why can't our coaches see that?
8) LombarNOTi, I want to punch him in the face.

Why do I continue to give two shits about this team when I know what is going to happen before the season even starts? Mayillen is a horrible and mind boggingly predictable GM. Yet, here I am, putting my emotion into the Lions again.

Fuck

2 min to halftime....

ugh....
sigh......

This is painful. Seriously. Ouch.

That is a TD, Go Lions. CJ is a Beast.

Detroit vs Minny: insanely early preview

If you watched the Niners vs Vikes game tonight, you are probably telling yourself. Minny is toast next week. They look like shit on defense and their offense is weak as hell.

Let me tell you something. STOP, now.

On offense, we don't have a QB that can run, we don't have a power running game (under staement), we don't have a strong play action passing game and we don't have an OC that uses his players to their strengths.

On defense, we don't have a dominate run stopping defense, we don't have Navorro bowman at LB and we don't have the DT talent needed to shut down Adrian Peterson.

If they have any sense, Minny is going to alter their game plan. I damn near guarantee it. They have an absolute STUD RB and they ignored him tonight because they convinced themselves they have a legit QB. Tonight was their wake up call, they don't. They will run AP all day next week and we don't have the studs in the middle we had just last year.

If we are going to win this game against Minny, it is going to be ugly and it is going to be hard fought.

Go Lions.

The day after: Hangover edition

Not a single drop of booze yesterday. None, zero. Yet I wake up today feeling like someone somewhere was drinking, a lot.

Should we have had breathalyzers on the sideline testing Lombardi? Perhaps some special tools designed to remove a persons head from his posterior? 2 targets for one of if not the best WR in the game prior to the garbage time drive to end the game? There is no excuse for that. NONE.

Today's game from the 2014 draft....

There was this guy that we could have drafted at 10. He was this stud DT that absolutely wrecked teams at the college level. He was there for the picking. Insurance for the inevitable departure of a wanna be billionaire that took his dirty play to Miami.

I remember that draft. I remember when our time came up and I remember thinking, he fell to us! This is amazing. What luck.....

Typical of the Lions, they shit the bed and picked a TE that couldn't catch. Reportedly because Mayillen had convinced himself that Ebron was the 2nd best pass catcher in the draft. (hint: he wasn't and will never be, EVER)

That guy we didn't pick at #10, was Aaron Donald. He that had 2 sacks, 3 tackles for loss and 3 QB hits today. His team beat the superbowl loosing Seahawks in a tough battle.

But we got a TE that can't catch!!!

Rivers went 35 of 42 today. 83% completions for 404 yards......

But we got a TE that can't catch!!!

Awwww, shit. End of the 3rd

Are the Lions trying to run up hill? They appear to have to do just that. Even Abdullah appears to be running in molasses. Could heat be the problem? it is a reported 105 degrees on the field.....

In other news, Coach Caldwell's corpse has been seen, propped up on the sideline. One reporter suggested he blinked 20 minutes ago but we haven't gotten any confirmation.

The guys just look gassed out there and The Bolts are taking advantage of that with quick passes and quicker screen plays.

sigh

Detroit VS San Diego roadie

The game has started off just about as well as I could have wished. Stafford hasn't sucked yet and Abdullah looks quick, sharp and fast. But there is something lingering in the air.

Why haven't the Bolts tried to run more? There is no way our run D is what it was last year but it almost appears that SD still treats it that way.

Eventually, someone is going to gouge us on the ground and expose us.
