Only the Lions....

In my lifetime, the Lions have won one playoff game. One. During that same time, the Lions have had two different high ranking coaches who have improperly exposed themselves to others.

The Lions have had more coaches arrested for indecent exposure than they have had playoff wins in my lifetime.

Fuck.

Let the scapegoating begin

The Lions think you are a sheep.
The Lions have fired OC Joe LomNoti, Oline coach Washburn and Terry Heffernan. This is nothing more than throwing lambs to the slaughter. This is Lions Damage Control Public Relations 101. Shit goes bad, scrap a few hot button people, low on the totem pole and pray it makes enough of a difference so the people higher up the pole can hold onto their undeserved jobs for at least another year. The transparency is stunning. Do the Lions really think people are this stupid? To fall for this kind of BS yet again?

There is only one firing that will make a real difference, I am talking about Martin "Right hand man to the worst gm in sports history" Mayillen. He can't draft worth a shit and he can't hire the right guy to coach his teams. About the only thing he has ever done well is trade and on the scale of importance to building a winning NFL team, that is somewhere just above making sure the waterboy has enough paper cups. Oh yes, make sure to fire Lewand too. A real GM doesn't need a bean counter to do the books for him. But that right there is part of the problem isn't it? The fords have never hired a real GM.

Let the train wreck pile up. Anything less than a total house cleaning, top to bottom, would be a disgrace. From the front office on down to the lowest coach on the totem pole. We didn't get that fresh start seven years ago when our last failure of a GM was fired, we just hired his pupil, we deserve better this time.

How many times does this have to happen?

"We kind of figured out what they were doing," said Vikings linebacker Chad Greenway. "Our coaching staff does a great job doing that."
Quotes like this seem to happen every week. Players from other teams commenting on how predictable stale sad pathetic blah blah our schemes are from one week to the next.

It is so damn hard to be a Lions fan. Why do people continue to sell out that stadium? The Lions haven't made a dime off me in well over a decade. Stop supporting them until they give a reason to be supported.

Swept by the Vikings.

Seriously, we got swept by the fucking vikings. We sit in the cellar of not just the NFC North but the entire NFC. I haven't looked into it yet but I have to think we are in the running for the number one overall pick in the coming draft.

Someone remind me about all that talent Mayillen brought to the team again. I love those fantasy stories. That guy is a fucking failure. The fact that he still has his fucking job is disgraceful. Only the fucking Lions would employ a loser this long. And only a Lions fan would still be cheering for this team with the second coming of the mustashiod moron pretending to be a GM.

Martha needs to wake up, Lions fans deserve better than this shit show. Now is her chance to leave her husbands legacy behind and forge a new one of her own.

More proof that LomNoti just doesn't get it.

Per ESPN:

“The biggest thing for me is just, it’s less hectic,” Lombardi said Thursday. “You don’t have to feel the guys pouting when you’re not throwing the ball to ‘em or whatever emotions are going on down there, you’re kind of just away from ‘em. It’s a little quieter.
“I was certainly less exhausted after the game than I was if you’re down on the field. I just think it’s a calmer environment, which I like.”
Really? People are asking you about what is different calling plays from the box and you mention not having to deal with players pouting to the world? This man is not a leader. No wonder this offense is a joke.

Turkey or Hero

yes, that is a turkey hero sammy!!! yum
For game 6 of the Lions season and the first win (ughhh) of the Year I am giving Lance Moore the Hero award and laadrian waddle the ignominious turkey stamp on his forehead.

Moore was everywhere, making play after play. He had 5 catches on 6 targets for 106 yards, 1 TD with a long of 42 yards. He was a beast for us today. He was our legitimate 3rd WR we have been searching for seemingly as long as Mayillen has been pretending to be the GM. It only took him 7 seasons to find a 3rd WR. That is acceptable right? Fuck me......

Waddle. I don't even have to say it do I? He stunk up the joint. Either he is playing with a preexisting injury (I know he got hurt during the game) out of necessity or he just doesn't have what it takes. Expect a RT to be a target of the draft this coming off season.

Who are your heroes and turkeys?

How many games will the Lions win this year?

Stick your foot out there and let it be known, the Lions will....
I voted 5 or 6 games and that feels like a reach. You can pick more than one. And if you have the balls, tell us in the comments what you think!!!

1-5 Lions

Hooray, we won a game. Against a bad team. Barely.

Whoop Deeee Fucking do.

Prepare yourself for all the BS coming from the Lions coaches. How they can build on this game. Bla bla bla (hint: the season is over, there is nothing to build on). If you watched this game, you know it was a shit show that both teams tried to lose, one was just a little better at losing today.

And don't even get me started on both head coaches trying in vain to out conservative one another......... If I had to do that, I might just lose my fucking mind.

That was not a TD by Tate

But the Lions need all the help they can get.

Inconsequential

No matter what happens tomorrow. We win or we lose, it doesn't matter. Both teams are bad. Beating a bad team doesn't prove anything to anyone.

If we win being better today than a bad team doesn't wipe away the reality that we were measured against several good teams and found to be profoundly lacking. We aren't a good team. We aren't even a mediocre team. We are a bad team. Plain and simple.

If we lose, we are still a bad team. No worse than before.

It is time, for everyone involved with the Lions, to start thinking about the draft and maximizing our future value and preserving our aging stars for another season. Pissing away talent on a wasted season would be the ultimate Lions thing to do. So you can be sure, that will happen.

It's tough being a Lions fan.

Martha Ford makes it clear, Playoffs or bust!!!

In a stunning move, Ms. Martha Firestone Ford announced today that the Lions either make the playoffs or everyone in the front office and coaching staff would be fired.

Why the Lions offense sucks in one quote.

After the game Matt Stafford revealed a stunning comment from our coach. During halftime, Caldwell told him if he threw another interception he was going to be benched.

No seriously, Caldwell said that, to the QB he was supposed to "fix". The QB that had over 5000 yards, 41 tds with 16 ints in a season before, Caldwell told the QB he was hired to fix, if you throw another int, you will be benched.

Caldwell told him "be captain check down" or you are benched.

The coaches just quit on the team....

Down 25 points, 4th and 10 at the 20 and we kick a fucking field goal.

wow.

Chicken shit conservative cowardly coaching at its worst.

It won't be long before the players quit on the coaches too. Watch the rushing defense.

Dan "safety dance" Orlovsky is our QB now

And his first few passes look pretty damn good.....

QB controversy, lmfao, how much more shit could we pile up on this shameful season? How about a fucking QB controversy involving Dan fucking Orlovsky!

Why I am still a Lions fan. I can't explain it. They do nothing, ever, to justify my loyalty. NOTHING.

I am sure Coma Caldwell will spew some bull shit about Matt being our starter and how he only pulled him because it wasn't his day. News flash Jimbo, it hasn't been his day all year and your offense is a huge part of the reason.

Fords, Fire everyone. Clean out the FO, Coaches, everyone. It is patently obvious they are all in over their heads.

Nothing worse for a team's fans than an apathetic owner.

Mayillen, you have a problem.

Last year you drafted a guy that can't catch the ball, this year you drafted a guy that can't hold onto the ball.

It is systemic. You fancy measurables above everything else and far too often fail to find football players.

Fumblitis has stricken the Lions. Everyone is suffering.

CJ is now the Loin's all time leader in career receptions

Well done CJ. Well done.

Time for unqualified people to try to protect their jobs

The season is over. 0-4, teams have come back from that record once in the history of the NFL to make the playoffs. It isn't happening with this team, with this coaching staff and this front office. That won't change anything, the Lions from top to bottom will be doing everything they can to protect their ill gotten jobs simultaneously damaging the future of the franchise in draft value.

Brian Fucking Hoyer looks better than Stat Madford

Seriously. This is some shit. He is not a better QB than Matt but in this system, he looks better.

Could it be, perhaps, that our OC is a bumbling tool that doesn't know shit about using players to their full ability over forcing players to do things, of which, they aren't capable?

Fuck you LomNoti.
Asked Lombardi why he takes Tate out of the game so much. Said its a package thing. Sometimes there's another player better suited than Tate

The Flu season arrived early this season.

One more time!
Welcome back Andre Fluellen for the 9th time......

Remind me who built this team again?

Mayillen, that's right. FML.

Sorry Papa Caldwell, you don't know the fans.

In today's time with the press, Caldwell said,

"Let me put it this way," Caldwell said, "I think the fans, at least the ones that I know of and hear from and etc., are more interested in us winning than any great pronouncement of some sort. That's the key. If we win games, these aren't issues."

Leave it to the refs with your own bad play and you will regret it.

Here we are Lions fans, in an extremely familiar position. We didn't play well enough. We flat out sucked. So much so that a vague rule, that our own coaches didn't even understand in the moment, kept us from getting another chance to win the game.

Don't blame the refs. Before CJ coughed up the ball on the 1/8th yard line, we were winning the turnover battle 3-0. Winning the turnover battle normally wins games. Between the '08 and '12 season, teams winning the turnover battle 3-0 win the game roughly 93% of the time. Blaming the ref for blowing a call late in a game when you should be dominating the game because of the other team's turnovers is PATHETIC.

The Lions lost this game long before the refs fucked up that call. This game should have been won long before that call. You can make excuses all you want....

93% of the time.... that is real, so is 0-4.

The refs didn't cost us this game.

Chancellor's beard doesn't have shit on Levy's!!!!

Take that Seahawk fuckers!!!!

Are those some pubes?

sigh......

Fucking hawks.

93% the Detroit Lions, finding new ways to fuck fans

That bird is not a Lions fan.
A defensive TD followed by a quick defensive stop and a decent drive that got them within range of the Seahawks end zone. Stat Madford drops back and hits CJ, who had to wait for the fucking ball because it got there very late. CJ turned and reached for the endzone at which point a Seattle player hit the ball clearly out of his hand into the endzone. Another Seattle player, slapped the ball out of the endzone, an illegal play, for the touchback. Ball game. Game over. Season over. Done.

Same Old Lions

sigh...

winning the turnover battle and still losing. This is pathetic.

When I wrote this, I had no fucking idea what I was talking about. Leave it to the Lions to surprise even a cynical fan. Kudos Loins, you topped your own standards tonight.

FLM.

And it begins My guys 0-7 those other @&$%^&^$%%^s

ugly

one series in, predictability problems are still stunningly obvious

There is literally zero deception. If I can call the play pre and post motions, you can be damned sure the opposing team's players can too.

Fuck you LomNoti

BTW, 3rd and long all day long, hoping for miracles from your QB, won't win you a game.

Seattle fakes one way, throws the screen the other way. I wonder if LomNoti was watching that?

LomNoti was watching, and basically called the exact same play about 4 player later. Of course, it wasn't designed anywhere nearly as well and resulted in a loss of yards. You can't make up this shit up.

Go Lions!!!

This is going to hurt tonight. I am not confident.

But ask yourself, wouldn't that just be perfectly lions, the only team without a win left in the NFL after week four?
