  1. that is a brutal first 5 games. Could set the tone for the entire season. Dont sleep on the Vikings

    1. Absolutely don't sleep on the Vikes, particularly if AP has a chip on his shoulder.

I also notice a few things that I will cover in more depth tomorrow. both of our GB games, we have a long week or rest before them including a bye.

Our first four and last four games are 3 away and 1 home.

    2. oops, I am mistaken, our second game against GB is normal rest.

  2. not breaking down the teams my floor/ceiling for the Lions is 5-11/10-6. Could change with the draft and additional FA pick ups.

    1. that seems like a reasonable range. You are right, those first 5 games could set the pace for the entire season both as a winning or losing season.

I am not happy how the season starts or ends. 3 of 4 on the road both ways seems particularly cruel.

  3. looks tough but who knows. teams get better, teams get worse…
i wonder if the Lions offense really takes the next step… if it does, the Lions can be dangerous in every game

    1. Indeed, there really is no way to know for sure right now.

I don't believe the Lions are a better team than we were last year. Too much talent has left.

    1. I think Quin is smoking crack. I get being confident but putting that out there? Bulletin board material like that for other teams to feast on before they play us? Not smart.

  5. not to be a cynic but Greg Hardy suspension ends with the game versus Carolina? Has the NFL sold it's soul? could they really be that naive that it is just an accident with no regard how it adds to the storyline of the game? …something for talking heads to discuss in the lead up….

    1. I would hope that it is just poor forthsight by the NFL. But never the less it will be a story line pushed a lot by the media
